Guatemala Police Clearance:
The Certificado de Antecedentes Policíacos is issued by the six Comisarías de la Policía Nacional Civil, located in the capital city. Applicants must present in person the original and a legible photocopy of their Cédula de Vecindad, and pay the applicable fees. Foreign residents must, in addition, present the original and a legible photocopy of their passport and take the certificate to the Legal Bureau of the Civil National Police Headquarters in Guatemala City for legalization (6a. The Constancia de Carencia de Antecedentes Penales may be obtained from the Bureau of Criminal Background (Unidad de Antecedentes Penales) of the Supreme Court of Justice. There is an office located in the capital city (see below) and in the majority of departments of the country. Nationals and residents of Guatemala must present their original Cédula de Vecindad. Foreigners must present their valid passport showing their legal status in the country. If applicants are unable to personally request this certificate, the document may be requested by a lawyer who has been authorized by the applicant. The lawyer must submit the applicant’s original identification document.

Haiti Police Clearance:
Applicants should obtain either a Casier Judiciaire or a Certificat de Bonnes Moeurs from either the Tribunal Civil, the Ministère de la Justice et de la Sécurité Publique or the Police Nationale d’Haïti in Port-au-Prince. Applicants should present their valid identification (passport and birth certificate), a full set of fingerprints and three photographs, and pay the applicable fees.
Honduras Police Clearance:
A Constancia de Antecedentes Policiales may be obtained from the Dirección General de Investigación Criminal (DGIC) in Comayaguela, which will cover the whole country (those issued by the DGIC in San Pedro Sula cover the San Pedro Sula region only). Certificates must be requested in person or through a lawyer with notarized authorization. Nationals and residents of Honduras must present their original and one photocopy of their identification document. Foreigners must present their original and one photocopy of their passport.

Nicaragua Police Clearance:
The Certificado de Conducta or Récord de Policía is issued by the Dirección de Servicios Policiales. Nationals and residents of Nicaragua must obtain the certificate from the local police station in their place of residence. It must be requested in person with the original and a photocopy of the applicant’s identification document and proof of payment of the processing fee. Foreign residents may only obtain the certificate from the Asesoría Legal de la Policía Nacional in Managua. They must present a copy of their passport and proof of payment.
Court certificates are issued by the local courts (Juez del Distrito del Crimen) in the city or town where the applicant resides. After these are issued, they must be taken to the Supreme Court of Justice for legalization. For more information, contact the Supreme Court.

A Record Policivo can be obtained from the Departamento de Autenticación y Legalización del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores. Applicants must apply in person or send a representative on their behalf with a photocopy of the applicant’s identification document or, in the case of foreigners, with a photocopy of the applicant’s passport. Applicants or their representatives must complete the form provided by the Departamento de Autenticación y Legalización del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores on the day of the request and present a photocopy of their passport or Cédula. Uruguay Police Clearance:
